Filesystem Paradigm for Knowledge

OpenViking maps all context (memory, resources, skills) into a directory and files of a virtual filesystem with URIs of the form viking://

Three levels of loading:

L0 — summary (~100 tokens);
L1 — overview (~2000 tokens);
L2 — full text.

“Summary always at hand, full text on demand” — as progressive disclosure of Skills.

Mandatory condition: there must be links and indexing between files (like in Wikipedia) — otherwise the agent has nothing to rely on for navigation. Powerful models link records themselves; weak ones need to be explicitly prescribed in the prompt for records.
