Five Categories of Tools

Tools are classified by the direction of the call and the object of impact:

1. perception — obtaining information;
2. execution — changing the external world;
3. collaboration — interacting with other agents and people;
4. event triggering — the external world awakens the agent;
5. user communication — the agent itself conveys information to the user.

The first four are called by the agent actively, the fifth category is triggered from the outside.
