Code as Meta-Ability

Code generation is a meta-ability: the ability to create other abilities at runtime.

Code is precise, executable, combinable, and therefore spawns new tools, new constraints, and new modes of representation.

Six directions “from inner to outer”:

1. tool for thought;
2. constraints of business rules;
3. multimedia generation;
4. system adapters;
5. generative UI;
6. agent self-bootstrapping.

Working code is proof of logical consistency in and of itself—natural language cannot provide this.
